I designed this scarf for a family member when I was asked to do a review of the beautiful Paton's Lace Sequin Yarn.

The Mary Jo Fashion Scarf

Materials: #2 Paton's Lace Sequin, 1 skein #37707 Ruby; G (4mm) crochet hook; tapestry needle

NOTE: Beg ch-2 does NOT count as first dc. 

SPECIAL STITCHES
Dc decrease worked over 3 dc:  YO, insert hook into first dc, YO and pull up a loop, YO and pull through 2 loops, skip next dc, yo, insert hook into next dc, YO and pull up a loop, YO and pull through 2 loops, YO and pull through all 3 loops on hook.

Row 1: With G hook, ch 31; dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next 2 ch, decrease, (dc, skip 2 ch, dc dec),  dc in next 2 ch, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next ch, dc in next 2 ch, TURN.

Rows 2-113 (or desired length):  Ch 2, 2 dc in same place as ch-2; dc in next 2 dc, work a dc decrease over next 3 dc (see above); dc in next 2 dc, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next ch-2 space, dc in next 2 dc, work a dc decrease over next 3 dc, dc in next 2 dc, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next ch-2 sp, dc in next 2 dc, dc decrease over next 3 dc, dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in last dc, turn. At end of Row 113, ch 1, turn.


TRIM  First Side
 Sc in ea dc across, working 2 sc in each ch-2 space. Fasten off.

TRIM Second Side

Join Ruby with a sc in first ch stitch on opposite side of starting chain. (Row 1).
Sc in ea dc across, working 2 sc in each ch-2 space.  Fasten off.
