Crochet brainstorming

It seems that instead of spending the weekend crocheting, I have been doing nothing but 'brainstorming' about crochet design. I want to add a new category to my website and call it 'Americana' so I have been trying to come up with some patriotic design ideas. Sometimes it is so hard! I think I would have been better off if I had decided on a single design, then by trying to design a 'category'! I think I have finally come up with a few things, so I may be able to spend the rest of this weekend crocheting! Now to go pick out the correct shades of the red, white and blue yarn............

So Cute!

I just had to post a link to these cute crochet scarf pictures I came upon today! Unfortunately, there are not any links to the patterns, but maybe you will be as inspired as I was, by how cute they are!

Rainbow Boucle

This is just a quick post to let everyone know that the
Rainbow Boucle yarn I used in both of my Seraphina Shawls is on sale at Joann.com right now. It is on sale for $6.00 per skein, which will make at least one generous shawl. If you scroll down on the page, you can see close-ups of the Green Print and the Berry Print that I used in each of the shawls that I made!

Calling all Knitters and Crocheters

No matter whether you knit, crochet, or both, you just have to read about the experience of fellow crochet designer, Crochet With Dee. If you are a crocheter, it will be interesting to see if you have had any type of experiences similar to hers. I, for one, have had, and yet I have never been able to understand it, especially because I also love to knit! In certain local yarn stores, I have felt like an alien, after telling a store owner that I am a crocheter! If you have never had this happen to you, you can't imagine what this is like. Dee has a very large following, so I am hoping that she will be able to spread the word and get people talking about a topic that should be discussed! Bravo, Dee!

Spring Fever

It is so hard to believe it is March 1st! Where does the time go? I always love it when the Color Trends and Fashion Trend reports come out. They can be so inspiring sometimes! You can view a current one from

Knitting Bag

I love finding out about what all the new colors and styles will be for the Fall and next Spring.

And speaking of new for Spring. I can't wait to get my hands on this new issue of Knit Simple.

Just looking at the cover makes me want to buy it! Of course, it helps that the pretty colored flowers on the cover are crocheted!! Looks like Spring to me!
Unfortunately, though, for those of us in the Northeast, Spring is NOT just around the corner. We are expecting 6 inches of snow tomorrow.
So, I will just have to buy this issue of Knit Simple and crochet me some Springtime!
